The Curse of Canaan Did NOT Include All of Ham's Children

The curse of Canaan did not include, "all Ham's Children."

It was placed directly on Canaan, by Noah. Ham's children went on to build some of the Greatest Empire's the world has known.(Babylonian, Assyrian, etc.)

To say all were cursed is not Biblically correct.

Canaan's Sin? NEW
by: 1watchman

Canaan was the offspring of his father Ham and Ham's mother. Canaan in Hebrew means "humiliation." The son's birth was a humiliation to Noah and his wife. Ham wanted a double portion of the land to be settled so the additional son (Ham son by his mother Noah's wife) would be a second portion for Ham from his father Noah. It was Canaan that refused to settle with Ham's relatives in Africa as Biblically assigned and settled in Shem's area in and around the Promised Land in the Mid-East. This was after building the tower of Babylon. Instead of going to Africa Canaan settled the Promised Land. It was these same Canaanites that Moses and Joshua, etc., had to kill to cleanse the land from their sexual sins like Sodom and Gamora. That sin lingers on even today in certain races. Ham's sin is debated as well as Canaan's curse.

Inter-marriages between the Israelites and Canaanites
by: Len

Many marriages occurred between the Israelites and Canaanites:
1. Simeon & Adlba
2. Budah & Bathshua
3. Judah & Tamar
4. Salmon & Rahab
5. Ahab & Jeezebel
6. Essau & Oholibamah
All of these are in the genealogy of Jesus.
The reason for the curse was an incestuous relationship between Ham and his mother, she gave birth to Canaan.

Why Was Canaan Cursed ?
by: Anonymous

Yes, but why did the curse only pertain to Canaan? And why was EVERY SINGLE member of all the different Canaanite tribes from there on after NOT allowed to INTER-MARRY with the Israelites under ANY conditions; and why did they hate the Israelites and continually war with them?

Genesis 9:24-25
24 ΒΆ And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

What was so terrible that his son Ham had done?
What was so abhorrent to Noah when he awoke?
Why would the descendants of Canaan forever be "servants" to his other brethren?

Which race(s) have always been servants to other races unable to compete technically at the same level?
