Could some one please tell me when Joseph' brothers came to buy food, why they could not recognize him?

They sold Joseph to Midianites as slaves, at 12 years old. In Egypt, they dressed up differently. Even, they could see the similarity between their brother Joseph, and the new "prim-minister" of Egypt, who was also him, they couldn't believe that this was possible. A slave was a slave: he never got so high. A slave to become the second in power after the pharaoh = this was impossible for them. This was also an impediment for them to recognize him. If some of your relatives go away from you at a young age, and you will see him/her after 18 years, different dress-up, in a hi-power from a simple man, and a billionaire, it will be also difficult to to recognize him. It's possible for you to ask him: "ARE YOU REALLY YOU?" Now in 2023, you have permission to ask this but then was not possible to ask such questions to the pharaoh on the hi-power man from that period

I have asked the same question before. Just as I have done. You must look into the culture and time of that era. The Hebrew people aka Jewish people dress totally differently from others. During the time of Egypt everyone in high courts especially the priest shaved off all their hair. But go do a history study into Egypt culture. I’m sure you’ll get a better understanding
