If Noah said.

by Eric Goldston

If Noah said, 'Cursed be Ca'naan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren", that means he only cursed Ca'naan and his offspring, not Ham and others sons.

Everyone knows that Ham is the father of the African race, and for you to apply the curse of Ca'naan to Ham and all his sons is wrong.

Middle East and North Africa Originally White
by: Anonymous

I agree, but take note of the following :

All these North Arican tribes were like the modern Arabs who live there, except they were once white and are now a mixture of black and white. It was Canaan who was cursed, not Cush (or Ham), but neither were black. Those in North Africa obviously mingled with the Black Africans further south and became darker in complexion over time, but were mixed !

Adam means to be ruddy/red in the face in Hebrew. The ancient Middle East was all white to begin with and tribes invaded North Africa from the Middle East repeatedly over thousands of years. The original Egyptians were white as well. The Middle East and North Africa became mixed over time, this is why these people range in complexion today from very light to very dark skinned.

Even many dark skinned "black" "Africans" in North Africa have straight hair - like many Somalians and Ethiopians. Where does their straight hair come from ? The same happened to the Australian Aboriginals - we just take for granted that they have straight hair and think that this is simply the way some blacks look naturally - not true at all - they are mixed !

Lamentations 4:7-8 "Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire: Their visage is (now) blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick." Visage blacker than a coal in this case however is likely to be as a result of being dirty and burnt by the sun.

If Noah said
by: Lujack Skylark

Eric Goldston has correctly interpreted what Noah had said.

It was Canaan alone who was cursed.
