ha-ibree

ha-ibree

There is no word in the language such as "Hebrew." When asked who he was, Father Abraham was said that he was "the one from beyond." That in the written language, left to right, as ha-ayin-bayith-rosh-yod, or ha-ibree. That was transmogrified into "Habiru" and later into "Hebrew."
