Gwenn Asher

My college professor, many years ago, Dr. Minrad Arkin, told me that Habiru meant dirty feet, and that the word Hebrew came from the name of those slaves, the Habiru. I was so taken with Dr. Arkin's teaching that I recorded every word, and wrote every word down. He taught at St. Louis University. Does anyone have any discussion on this? What stone is that of Asher on the breast plate?
