You can't "Pick and Choose" truth.

by Richard Mace
(Charleston, WV USA)

I have spent the past few years studying in detail the giants of the Bible. The Book of Enoch has all the validity of any other biblical script. It is important to know that, understanding Genesis 6:4 (KJV), is the key to understanding the Old Testament.

As a Christian, I do believe Enoch was raptured by God, I also believe there would exist a book containing the accounts of his life. Genesis says that at 65 "Enoch walked with God", Enoch died on his 365th birthday, so Enoch walked with God for 300 years before his rapture. What exactly do you think Enoch did for 300 years?

The Book Of Enoch explains it clearly, God and Enoch communed frequently, Enoch was a common sight among the "Sons of God", which would explain why the Angels went to Enoch and asked his help in petitioning God for mercy and forgiveness.

It upsets me that so many Christians dance around this topic or attempt to allegorize the subject, it has it's place as well as the right to be included in biblical teaching.

When people accept the truth of the giants, then many other mysteries become revealed, aliens, pyramids, the great deluge, sins of gene splicing and so on.

A Programed People
by: Anonymous

The problem herein lies in what Americans BELIEVE are the inerrant words of GOD. The King James work is a work of man. If you don't believe that then have you heard the voice of God lately? If you wrote it down, should we believe it? Well my friend, many hear the voice of God but do we recognize it? Do we write it down? Do we believe what others have wrote down? Have these writings been scrutinized? If so, by whom for what reason?

Sons OF God & Apocrypha Books
by: RMS92

I believe that the sons of God in question here were fallen angels. However, I do not, for a single moment, believe that the book of Enoch is Divinely inspired and that's why I've never read it.

In fact, not a one of the Apocrypha books is Divinely inspired! If you want to know how this can be proven, and how God put His stamp of approval on "His" books, you must read "The Handwriting of God" by Grant Geoffreys.

Not a single book in the world passes this Litmus test except the accepted books of the Bible, and they have tried every book you can imagine! It stunned scholars around this globe.

Believe me, there is no contest between what was Divinely inspired and those that falsely claim to be so.

Pick and Choose
by: Robert Marshall

I am 72 years of age. I have studied the bible half my life. The one thing I found out was, I can't convince anyone of anything that is in the bible. I come on this program to share my thoughts. It doesn't matter what anybody thinks about it. We all have information we would like to share. It is a good thing to share.

Maybe God will open our minds to the real truth about what He is doing. Arguments get no one anywhere. The bible says we don't know as we ought to. That is fine with me. I would rather be ignorant of everything than be smart about something I think is right.

My time on earth is short. Soon i will know as God knows. That is what I am looking forward to.

God bless and keep seeking truth.

Stupidity or Ignorance is Irrevelent.
by: Anonymous

It is not an evil thing to search for answers, it is not an evil thing to choose to believe whatever, providing it is not contrary to God and Jesus Christ. There were Giants in those days and after, there is proof, and their tale has never been fully told, and parts are of the "Book Of Enoch" are quoted in the King James.

The King James is the most wonderful work of God's word, but it was assembled by men, inspired or not, it is not the complete works of our God or our savior. Remember we have resources available to us that our parents did not, and this will allow the mystery to unfold.

Going outside the bible does not make it a sin, don't be silly on that issue. The King James itself mentions many other books. I believe the accounts of the giants are a tribute to the power of God Almighty - great article.

Enoch
by:

The truth you gave from the Bible I believe. The other part I will find out when I die. Speculation is an easy remedy for ignorance. The difference between ignorance and stupidity is, I am ignorant if I don't know something, but I am stupid if I don't know something and I don't care.

The Bible was written by men who were inspired by God. If God missed by not putting Enoch's truth in the Bible, then what should I believe. If there is any error in Gods judgement about the Bible Then He is not God. If we don't believe in God it doesn't matter. Unless all truth about God's word cannot be proved by the Bible, I don't believe it.

We can argue who is right and who is wrong, but when we do that we are both wrong, because there is only one truth and I will believe what God's word says. If I am wrong and you are right, I will pay for my ignorance and stupidity.
