Mountain of the Lord Garden of God

I am a 61 yr. old Baptist Missionary to tribal people of Southern Zambia. Maps and places are a passion with me. I am convinced the Mountain area of Zion, is the same place as the mountain of the Lord original, and that mountain was the location of the the Garden of God, Eden Ez 28, of course completely rearranged in the flood.

I believe it will be restored, but with more magnitude at the return of Jesus Messiah our Lord and Our great God and Savior. Now, there are references to Zion everlasting in Is 35, the mountain of the Lord in Is. 2, Micah 4:1-2, and many other verses tie to these passages with the " day of the Lord", when kingdoms of earth become kingdoms of our Lord and His Messiah Rev.11 Hebrew 12.

Next, notice in Gen 13 that Lot was from the area of Bethel, again in the vicinity of, or maybe part of, the whole of original Zion, the mountain of the Lord before the flood, looked at all the plain of Jordan and chose it, as (like) the garden of God BEFORE destruction of Sodom and Gomorrow (now the dead sea east of Jeru, Zion etc.).

Is 51:3 shows restoration of the same. Many try to put the locale of the original garden that was on the mountain of the Lord again look at Ez 28 obvious and plain reference to that old serpent, continuing king of wicked result of his sin (Tyre and Babylon) in Irag area because of rivers in Gen 2.

Not a problem because; how big was the garden and the mountain of the Lord before the flood, and the change during the flood being beyond comprehension? Check out Dr. Walter E. Brown's hypothesis re: that subject. Centrally speaking, I have come to the conclusion that Zion and the surrounding area is that same mountain and garden area of the original creation, shifted catastrophically at the flood, and the dead sea was part of the garden, again shifted by the flood, which was further erased by fire from heaven on Sodom and Gomorrah.

Remember those cities were proof of abject corruption of the wicked, seen in the Garden of our God when Satan, the red dragon of sin, brought rebellion to a place of meeting with Jehovah and man.

Ruminations of and old missionary.

Ed, Your comment is candid, and very gracious. Also forgive my typing errors, new to this site and did not truly realize it would be published.

You are correct, this earth as we know it now will pass away, melt/dissolve with fervent heat 2 Peter 3, (and the heavens as we see them will be rolled together as a scroll)...however in last few years I realized that it does not mean what I thot for over 30 yrs.

Pass away is going past and moving forward, away from one place, state, condition to another. Melt/dissolve is loose from a condition, state as in loosing from bandages or even loosing from restraint good or bad. So when the only wise God, Jesu (old English and Zambian English) returns the existing state will flee away as we see it being see Revelation 16:20, 20:11.

Now exact location? Sure it is consideration, but I just gave a glimpse of what I consider regarding the whole of creation, the connection of heaven and earth, the dissolving of that connection, then passing away by the dissoloving again of the broken connection to the restored earth and heaven connected in the Kingdoms of the earth and Kingdom of our Lord and His Messiah Revelation 11:14-18 with John 1:51, Hebrews 12 and Jacob's vision of the connection.

Sum, mountain of the Lord and Garden of joy and pleasure, that paradise lost was made to accomadate all those to replenish, fill again, the earth which had been filled by Jehovah the Almighty with life and plants...replenished with people by Adam and Eve for eternity. It must have been a large mountain. Just a few more thoughts from Scriptural rumination of old sinner dissolved from the old dressed anew by the Grace of the Lord Jesus.

Don't see the relevance
by: Ed Renegar

I like your idea about where the Garden of God is, but I will neither agree nor disagree with your assessment. I don't believe anyone is certain about the location but it is fun to speculate.

I do not believe there is any relevance to the geographical location of the Garden of God because of what we read in scripture. This world and EVERTHING in it is passing away. I am very grateful that Jesus is preparing/has prepared, a place where "eye hath not seen or ear heard" and where Sin and the ruler of this world has not and will not touch.

Thank you for writing and your thoughts; I did enjoy reading your article. May God bless you my brother in His service...you're doing a great work.
