Melchizedek the first king of the chosen five

Melchezedek was Shem. Many Rabbinical sources claim this. Melchizedek was so old that no one knew who his parents were or where he came from.

There were 5 cornerstone kings of Israel. Shem, Saul, David, Solomon and Jesus. David is the center point. Shem and Jesus are both 990 years removed from David.

All the kings ruled over an undivided kingdom. Abraham paid homage to Shem, so Shem was the king of the chosen people and he ruled over Jerusalem. Realize that their reigns cover the entire history of the chosen people from start to finish.
